Canadian-Chinese driver Jack Zheng will compete in this season’s F4 US Championship with Jay Howard Driver Development. The Vancouver native’s racing career began only two years ago, but he has already achieved success in F4 cars, winning the 2022 Formula Pro USA Winter Series Championships.
A self-proclaimed fan of ‘everything racing related,’ Zheng is a natural competitor who has focused on testing and improving his craft since he began racing in 2019. His rookie season in the F4 US series with JHDD will provide the perfect platform to showcase his abilities.
“I’m a Canadian-Chinese driver who started racing karts and other forms of formula car racing only two years ago from my hometown of Vancouver,” said Zheng. “Since then, I have competed in the West Coast F4 Winter Series and claimed the championship there earlier this year. I love racing and am ready for this new challenge in the 2022 F4 US Championship with the Jay Howard Driver Development team. I’m looking forward to an exciting season and my goal, in the future, is to reach my full potential in my racing career, whether that be in senior Formula car series or other GT categories.”
Team owner Jay Howard is confident that Zheng is the perfect addition to the team’s F4 lineup.
“I’m excited to add Jack to our driver lineup for this year’s F4 championship,” said team owner Jay Howard. “Jack did very well on the West Coast to kick off the year, and scoring a pair of wins at a difficult track like Auto Club Speedway on the way to the title was no mean feat. We will be looking to carry that momentum into the first national race at NOLA Motorsports Park.”
The Jay Howard Driver Development F4 US stable kicks off the season in a week’s time at NOLA Motorsports Park, a new circuit for the series, on April 8-10. Make sure to follow JHDD’s official social media channels for results, updates and highlights from the season-opening weekend.
